  1. I have been a satisfied owner of an EAG 700 but I noticed in the tennis magazine a photo of one of your new machines with a thumb activated swivel clamp instead of the fixed string clamps on my machine. This improvement seems major. Can I upgrade my machine to the thumb activated swivel clamp?

    No, you can not use the swivel clamp. If you really would like to have the swivel clamps. You will need to purchase the new turntable, two mounting stocks, two swivel clamp bases and two swivel clamps. These parts are very expensive. It is not worth to upgrade the machine.

    No, you do not need to shut the tension switch off. Just move the clamp and hold the tensioned string. Then push the tension switch to "rewinding" position to release the string.

    No, you can not calibrate the drop-weight machines. But you can re-scale the tension rod for the tension setting.

    For cross stringing, you just need to slide the glide bars out of the tracks. Rotate the glide bar 90 degree and then mount the glide bar back to the tracks for the cross stringing.

    The speed of the motor is designed to turned very slowly to prevent from the string break. Therefore, it is slower that the crank machine.

    The electronic tension head has lots of electronic components, just like any electronic device, such as your TV, PC, microwave oven. If one single electronic component fails in the future, the electronic tension will be out of service. If fail, you just can not service it by yourself unless you are in the electronic field. You need to send the electronic tension head back to us for the service.

    Yes, for all the electronic machines you might need the service or maybe not. We just can not predict it. But the manual crank machines you usually do not need the service. Obviously there is little to go wrong with manual crank machines.

    The TCG-100 tension calibrator is used before stringing to test the accuracy of the stringing machine.

    No, you can not service the electronic tension head. We provide 1-year warranty for the electronic tension head. Within 1-year, It is free service. Normally you do not need to serivce the electronic tension head. But if it has the problem, you will need to send it back to us for the service.
